To write a powerful cover letter, gather together 5-10 job ads and underline all skills in them that you possess.  Then make a list of the skills and group them together into main skill categories to write your cover letter.

When you analyze your job ads, don't get hung up on being perfect and don't let your comfort zone keep you from creating strong cover letter skill headings.
